THE OIL ATTRACTS ENOUGH ENEMIES
KEY VERSES: And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them. And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim. So they came up to Baal-perazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baal-perazim.

Many times I have heard people say “why me”?Why do I have so many enemies? Why do I seem to be a target at all times??Well, I have said that many times too and am sure I have many witnesses to this.The Psalmist constantly complained about this-“Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: For they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
Psalm 56:2 KJV
One of the things that makes a person a target for the the enemy and his cohorts is the oil upon their life. The oil determines your promise. David was anointed for no mean position than that of the king.
I am not sure David’s anointing as King was done in public, yet the Philistines took notice and immediately came after him. David was a free man until the oil for his promotion finally dropped on his head. The bigger the promise,the more your enemies and the greater your opposition. Am sure this will explain why you are going through your present challenges. This should also explain the hatred you are experiencing.
David had older brothers who were also in the army but the Philistines didn’t care about them. They only looked for the anointed one.David,before then was ministering to the king with the Harp.It therefore suggests he could have had contacts and influence in the palace, yet they didn’t go after him at that time.Had David not killed bears and lions? They didn’t care about that. They only sought to bring down the anointed and nothing else.
However,the bible declares-“Why do the heathen rage, And the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, And cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: The Lord shall have them in derision.

God brought David to place called BAAL-PERAZIM, where he finally defeated them and broke the back of the enemy. Surely they will rise but they can not fight us. We are stronger than them,because Greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world. The same oil gives us the wisdom and the tactics to fight and survive their attacks-Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.

Beloved, is there a promise over your life?Are you in line for an elevation???The enemy has seen that already and he will come after you but be assured that you will come to the place of victory in Jesus’ name.
